This is great dessert using poppy seeds, nuts and honey. In fact this “cake” is actually a filling for a traditional poppy cake but as I avoid gluten I have decided to use the best out of this cake.
You will need to break the poppy seeds first in a coffee grinder or a very powerful blender. Then just mix it with raw honey and a choice of nuts (hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds or pecan). You can also add raisins if you wish. The good things is that you don’t have to worry about the quantity of the ingredients; be inventive, you can’t go wrong.
You can eat the ready mixed poppy “cake” with your favourite ice creams. I have eaten mine with blueberries soaked in vodka!
Ingredients: poppy seeds, choice of nuts, raw honey, raisins (optional)
